MOPA
Pulse-tunable fiber, colors
MOPA (master oscillator power amplifier) is a fiber-laser architecture with adjustable pulse duration and frequency. That tunability is what unlocks color marking on stainless and clean, high-contrast marks on tricky alloys.
A fixed Q-switched fiber marks; a MOPA marks and paints. If color-on-steel is in your product plan, MOPA is the class to buy.
