Fiber laser
1064nm bare metal
A fiber laser generates 1064nm light in a doped optical fiber and usually steers it with a galvo head. Bare metals absorb 1064nm well, so fiber machines mark stainless, brass, aluminum, and titanium natively — no sprays.
They are marking machines, not sheet cutters, at desktop wattages: deep engraving yes, cutting 3mm steel no.
