LPI
Raster lines/inch
LPI (lines per inch) is raster line density. 254 LPI = 0.1mm line interval — the everyday default for wood. Higher LPI means darker, denser, slower engraving; too high just re-burns the same fibers.
Match LPI to your beam spot: a diode with a 0.08mm spot gains nothing past ~318 LPI on wood. Photos on wood usually want 254–318 with dithering.
